This Hand-Painted Wallpaper Collection Uses Benjamin Moore Paint and Is Created by Artisans

Paint brand Benjamin Moore has joined forces with The Alpha Workshops to create a colorful collection of bespoke, hand-painted wallcoverings.

The collection is comprised of five patterns that are available in three colorways. Kimono is a graphic floral, Newport is a series of intricate grids, Topography elicits a marbleized effect, and finally Spencer and Horizon feature feather-light paint strokes on textured paper that has been folded like origami.

What makes the collection particularly special is that each wallcovering is made-to-order and hand painted by artists from The Alpha Workshops, a nonprofit that “provides decorative arts education and employment for adults and children with disabilities and other vulnerabilities.” Because of the hands-on nature of each roll, it’s not uncommon to see the imprints from an artisan’s hands or tools, a gentle reminder of the beauty of this collaboration.
