Area is a clever and colorful modular seating system designed by Anya Sebton for manufacturer Lammhults.
Described by Sebton as a collection that creates “functional identity,” Area facilitates user participation in the creative process—the six different modules are easy to move and even easier to link, allowing a great variety of versatile configurations.
Area’s singular ingenuity is a seamless connecting system, a hidden magnetic device on the sides of the individual components that links them together.
The collection consists of six different pieces: right, left, center, and corner units plus a foot stool/ottoman and table in perforated sheet metal.
Lammhults also offers a high-back option, providing superior sound absorption and seclusion for private gatherings in open spaces.
In addition to providing a versatile solution for breakout areas in workspaces, Area is ideal for forward-thinking hospitality environments in restaurants, retail venues, and hotel lobbies
A variety of fabrics and upholstery options are available, including Unika Vaev fabrics and Elmo Nordic leather in white, eggshell, dark grey, red, dark brown, or black.
