We have seen many projects over the last two years that incorporate the humble cotton rope but this is one is particularly effective. Ukrainian designer Vasiliy Butenko‘s lights are made by winding rope around glass bottles to create the shape of the shade.

Shaped like an Acorn shell, the lamps are set into shape without the need for a frame or complicated weaving techniques.

Simple and compact, the Acorn lamps use LED bulbs to provide integral and concentrated light for an atmospheric interior.
