Designed for the modern living room, Werner Aisslinger‘s ‘Bikini Island’ sofa system for Italian furniture brand Moroso is made up of modular units, including tables, poufs, cabinets and sofas in various fabrics.

‘Life in the living room has changed quite a lot recently,’ explains Aisslinger. ‘Families and their kids are chilling with different activities, reading, downloading files, writing emails, gaming, chatting with friends, watching movies on a pad, relaxing, talking, thinking, meditating.’

The Bikini Island is made up of various soft volumes with three different heights; from a low daybed to coffee tables to plant pots, bookshelf units and curtains, the island can be customized to integrate as many functions as needed.

Originally  designed by Aisslinger as part of his concept for the recently-opened 25 Hours Hotel Bikini Berlin, the sofa system is as well suited to hotel lobbies as it is to the private living room.
