The minimalist design “doesn’t reveal its many qualities until you sit down on it.” Sink into the chair and you’re likely to become a fixture in the Interstuhl showroom, like the numerous children and adults sucked in by the sensation of comfort.

The modern fibers and weaving methods create areas of firmer and softer seating while the open mesh structure ensures the optimum micro-climate. For people of all shapes and weights, the chair is remarkably easy to sit in and even easier to remain in. The chair is designed by ludekedesign Christine Lüdeke) from Zurich, a design office that has been involved in the aviation industry for years, in collaboration with Kobleder GmbH & Co from St. Martin in Innviertel (A), a company that has specialised in the use of modern weaving methods in furniture construction. Knitted Trevira fabric stretches across the chrome-plated steel frame to achieve this modern interpretation of the easy chair.
