A Room with a View: Manual Shades for Healthcare by MechoSystems
Research shows that healthcare environments with a view to the outside improve recovery, minimize post-operative hospital stays, and increase patient satisfaction. But healthcare venues must also respect patient privacy and offer room darkening, so good shades are a necessity. With Manual Shades by MechoSystems, healthcare settings can offer the best of both worlds.
Maximize Positive Patient Outcomes with MechoSystems’ Window Coverings

Suburbanâ„¢/2 is a well-designed, high quality, moderately priced roller shade with clean lines. DualShadesâ„¢ flat roller shades have an insulated transparent lining "for a technically advanced system combining insulation, extra view, and heat control." DualShades feature ThermoVeilâ„¢ or EuroVeilâ„¢ sun screen backed by MirroFilm®, which dims and filters light and reduces heat. For optimum privacy, DualShades can be backed with blackout shades. For spaces with large windows, Mecho®/5 increases the shade size range that a manual drive system can lift before motorization is required.

About the Manufacturer: MechoSystems began in the late 1960s when a large building project in Atlanta, Georgia involved a unique set of constraints: the building needed shades that were not Venetian blinds, did not have hanging cordage, and would not stack in the window bay. Thus the first manual roller shade system was invented, which was named MechoShade, and this product launched MechoSystems. The company specializes in "creative solutions to brightness, glare and solar control problems." It is the only company dedicated solely to the design and manufacture of single source solar shading products.
