Masterpiece Wall Art by Mo Man Tai Design
“Rely on your own creativity” and “rest assured – the masters preceded you” is the statement made by Mo Man Tai Design founder, Ulrike Jurklies. The pattern sheet that initiates her wall art using string and nails, entitled Masterpieces, makes it easy for you to bring the artwork of the greats who have gone before us right into your home.

Mo Man Tai Design Takes Wall Art to New Dimensions with the Masterpiece Patterns of Nail-and-Thread Design
A brand new series of string artworks based on subjects of famous paintings makes for an inventive way to spice up a bare wall or add to the overall dimensions of your interior decoration. The way it works starts with choosing your favorite artwork and finding the best possible place to put it. Then, take the specially made pattern sheet – which can be dished out with English, German, or Dutch instructions – and make sure the desired area has the perfect dimensions. Then you’ll hammer in the nails into the numbered dots of the pattern through the poster and proceed to string the thread or yarn from one nail to the next, like you’re “connecting the dots” in a coloring book.
When you’ve finished going from one nail to the next, remove the poster carefully (using your hands and/or a pair of tweezers for hard-to-reach areas). You’ll see just the string and the nails now, but in an ultra impressive configuration that reveals the masterpiece of artwork you chose. Jurklies recommends taking it a step further too by matching the nails or thread to your interior color scheme to really bring out the best.
Making a gorgeous masterpiece available to the masses while allowing a personalized touch is the effect Jurklies desired for her Masterpieces wall art. Although the concept of connecting the dots is not revolutionary, the experience of creating a gorgeous display against your living, dining, or bedroom wall is truly special.
About the Designer: ‘Mo Man Tai’ is a Cantonese expression meaning ‘no problem’ that Ulrike Jurklies uses as the name of her multi-discplinary design firm. She uses her industrial design and furniture making background to bring her products to great heights and aims to “develop concepts which surprise, entertain, and impress in a convincing way” while taking sustainability and community responsibility into account. Since the majority of her products are very suited as presents, the design of promotional gifts was added as one of Mon Man Tai’s services, along with several graphic design and interior design projects.
