Weekly Wrap-Up: 9 Chairs To Ready Your House For Spring!
While even earlier this week the temperatures were still arctic, in the Big Apple, the weather has experienced a sudden turn-around. What better way then, to celebrate the real signs of a fresh season than by doing a round-up of the 9 best chairs to ready your house for spring? While I love the sight of my beach chair perched on my fire escape, it’s safe to say that any of these would be a welcome upgrade!

1.
Nothing says spring better than a solid selection of outdoor furniture furniture. We have fallen in love with Komplot’s Concrete Things Chair for Nola.
2. Another expert in the realm of outdoor furniture is none other than the Chicago-based Jane Hamley Wells who makes available LCC Italia’s synthetic wicker PINN Dining Chair.
3. You can’t seem to trawl the design blog-o-sphere without bumping into the now internationally-acclaimed Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. Check out his Ami Ami Chair for Kartell if you are considering some wicker-cum-transparent polycarbonate, as this collection definitely fits the bill.
4. We at 3rings are also particularly thrilled by designer Johnny Swing’s Half Dollar Butterfly Chair, a chair suitable for the outdoors that cleverly confounds our sense of value as it relates to limited-edition design. The couch, pictured here, is even more of a money-maker.
5. On the heels of the recent opening of the Droog showroom in Soho’s hip design hood, we are reminded of the iconic Knotted Chair by Marcel Wanders (a member of this famous Dutch design collective). A lust and a must!
6. Ok, it’s not exactly a piece designed for the outdoors but Le Corbusier’s LC4 Chaise re-issued by Cassina would indeed fit well behind a set of sliding glass doors looking out on to the vast garden terrace we all wish we had.
7. When it comes for high-design pieces for the outdoors, no designer does it better than Patricia Urquiola. The Crinoline Collection for B&B Italia is a stellar example of her uniquely woven and sculptural classics.
8. Another stunning example of Urquiola’s design prowess is demonstrated by the Tropicalia chair for the Italian family establishment Moroso. I am particular to the technicolor polymer version, that said, (Patrizia if you are reading this) any version would do!
9. A new favorite at the 3rings design blog is stateside Belgian newcomer Royal Botania. Now neatly located at the D’Apostrophe showroom in Chinatown, Royal Botania offers premier outdoor design collections that marry technical sophistication with contemporary dynamism. Check out the E-Z rocker which adds a new meaning to the reputation of the ever popular LAZ-Y Boy.
Now here is hoping that we didn’t jinx ourselves and that this weather is here to stay. Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more fresh design products next week!
