Super Gloss may sound like a high-sheen lipstick, but it's actually woven vinyl flooring made of strands of fiberglass and PVC fibers. The product hails from Belgium, from a company called Le Tissage d'Arcade (LTA), which was founded in 2002. Super Gloss belongs to LTA's 2tec2 line of hybrid floor coverings that combine "appealing aesthetics with long- term durability." With the look of fabric and the fortitude of synthetics, 2tec2 offers easy maintenance and cleaning, and better safety and health standards in a package that's surprisingly easy on the eyes.

Super Gloss, or SG for short, gets its inspiration from shiny, refractive minerals and jewels-hence the name of the SG products: Bazalt, Diamond, Opal, Quartz, Sandstone, and Steel. And thanks to its hardiness, the "brilliant flooring" should "maintain a stunning patina throughout its lifecycle." Although the construction materials of 2tec2 are synthetic, they are ecologically safe: SG contains no oil byproducts and is 100% recyclable and non-allergic. Already used in fashionable commercial applications-Giorgio Armani, Dolce and Gabana, and Guerlain, to name a few-2tec2 is a "contemporary flooring solution for chic and modern retail interiors."
