Hot Towels with SKOPE’s Glascia
Hot showers and blissful baths are highly satisfying – but stepping out of them on cold winter days? Not so much. Warmth and comfort quickly turn to anxiety and discomfort. Wet hair, goosebumps…the list goes on. So the towel warmer was born to make the transition from the shower to dry land smoother. Although they may be the arch-nemesis of environmentalists, in the winter season they offer unparalleled post-shower satisfaction.
Glascia. Designed by SKOPE.
Made of Recycled aluminium and Scandinavian glass, the SKOPE Glascia is a contemporary and streamlined towel warmer. It diverges from the traditional radiator-like aesthetic to provide a more up-to-date look befitting modern environments. The material choice provides for maximum heat transfer to ensure that towels are completely warm – and of course dry. SKOPE’s Product Development Manager, Alexandra Stewart, worked with design teams in Sydney and Christchurch to create this new piece. “In today’s interior environments people are pursuing increasingly individual solutions. The Glascia allows design-conscious purchasers to add something extraordinary to their bathroom experience. Our revolutionary new bathroom product is at the leading edge of contemporary product design, and has been developed to allow Architects and Designers to personalise design responses for clients’ individual bathrooms and tastes. Grabbing your towel has never been such a satisfying experience,” she explains.
The Glascia towel warmer is available in one, two, three or four panel models, in left and right-handed configurations and can be mounted onto tiles and other bathroom wall surfaces ensuring a perfect fit for any size bathroom. While I’m not in love with the aesthetics (it’s a bit too bulky for my liking), I’m fairly certain I would enjoy the “satisfying experience” that Stewart describes.
