Spec Stars 2024: Prairie by Knoll Textiles
What were designers using most this year? Our Spec Stars 2024 is a complete list ranking which products were most specified for interior design projects. This annual report recognizes the top specified manufacturers and products in 25 categories across furniture, flooring, ceilings, wallcoverings, and storage. Prairie by Knoll Textiles ranks as the first place winner in Upholstery in the Textiles category. Prairie is featured below in Lapis.
Knoll Textiles designs textiles for the contemporary interior that honor the pioneering and architectural spirit of founder Florence Knoll. Prairie is a non-phthalate vinyl upholstery with a classic, leather-like texture. You can find Prairie here on Designer Pages.
In terms of color palette, Prairie comes in a wide variety of colors and tones. These highly durable, vinyl fabrics are excellent choices for high traffic areas, which may be a factor contributing to its overwhelming success.
Crossroad by Knoll Textiles also scored well in Spec Stars 2024 in the Upholstery category under the Textiles umbrella. This fabric is made of post-industrial recycled polyester and post-consumer recycled polyester.
Crossroad can be used for seating or upholstered walls. This cheerful Honey Bee yellow (seen above) would brighten a myriad of spaces. Crossroad comes in bright and muted colors, the latter of which remind me of ice cream hues.
