For lovers of anthropomorphic design, the Famille D’Animaux Collection by Chilean designer Abel Cárcamo is a dream. Available through Galerie Scene Ouverte, the animal collection of furniture is made of ash wood stained black.

Carapacho resembles a floppy-eared dog (although the word means carapace).

Rhinoceros depicts the African animal, its vital characteristics interpreted in large dynamic shapes. Cuerna, meaning antlers, makes a perfect stool, side table, and art object.

Corcel, or steed, is a simplified horse, its back an invitation to ride away into the sunset.

Cárcamo, who hails from Chile, combines different stylistic periods and aesthetic influences, juxtaposing local craftsmanship with contemporary trends. He also creates works in patinated bronze, such as Rhizoma and Dancing Women above.
