Who would have thought we’d be soaking in the sun at #IIDEX 2009?  Inside the Direct Energy Center is North America’s first indoor beach (from September 24 – September 25).  Soleira Sun (Booth # 741) is outfitted with sand, lounge chairs and a of course their natural sunlight simulators.  Soleira Sun is the world’s first sunlight stimulator for the indoor environment, creating an immersive sun environment that simulates natural sunlight, “indistinguishable from the real thing.”

You control the time of day, temperature, wind and sounds to create your ideal environment. An end to seasonal depression, independence from uncontrollale weather patterns: Soleira Sun boasts “zero to summer in 60 seconds”. It’s actually not a tanning technique, but is a healthy source of sunlight (with reduced UV rays) that can be enjoyed every day.

As I type, “sunset cocktails” are being offered at Soleira Sun’s booth – and it’s still daytime outside.  It feels and looks like natural sunlight, so grab your sunglasses and head INSIDE for your next “beach” party.
