Five Fab Textiles from Designtex
Vibrant vinyls. Stunning silicones. Designtex once again pioneers the art and science of textiles with five exciting new patterns, “Combining performance and creativity—bold geometric patterns and expressive hand-drawn designs.”
First up is Tanagram (above), a colorful tour de force of a textile with an M.C. Escher vibe and a playful feel inspired by puzzles. Line Up, shown on the ottoman below, offers a fascinating array of tight lines within a small-scale pattern on a smooth-coated vinyl that’s Greenguard-gold certified.
Curve is another playful design with concentric circles in a vibrant color scheme (options include seven colorways). This textile features a printed top stitch layered atop the hand-drawn pattern.
Silicon Lane offers durable, weather-resistant function in a brightly hued textile with a calming ambiance—great indoors and out, for both pleasant weather and inclement days.
Silicone Skyline is the final of Designtex’s fab five novel textiles. This is an abstract pattern of tonal and textured rectangles that offers a Pointillist effect, as the nature of the pattern seems to change depending on the angle and distance of the view. Silicon Skyline is a hard-earned achievement in textile design, “with over two years of advanced printing development behind the clarity of the pattern.”
With this latest “drop,” Designtex is aiming for a synthesis of fun and function, performance and creativity: “artfully patterned textiles that will enliven any hard-working environment.”
