Koyori, Kawara, Bouroullecs
It may be a mouthful to say but it’s definitely worth the effort: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s Kawara chair for Koyori doesn’t disappoint. In true Bouroullec fashion, it’s beautiful, innovative, entrancing.
Nudging the discipline of bent plywood into new terrain, Kawara features three impressive serpinting surfaces: the armrests and seat back display subtle swoops, giving the chair a distinctive aesthetic.
Koyori reminds us that plywood is essentially a living material, prone to shrinking and warping. Thus, Kawara’s craftsman display exceptional skill in crafting their molds to account for these subtle changes.
Kawara is made of oak veneer available in four finishes: natural, black, gray, and green.
