Flotex Planks

To start with the nitty-gritty, Flotex is a hybrid product made of a dense and durable vinyl backing that’s adorned with an even denser array of fibers, 80 million nylon 6.6. fibres per square meter, to be exact.

The components render Flotex exceptionally strong and particularly resilient, “combining the hard-wearing & durable characteristics of a resilient floor with the quality, warmth and comfort of a carpet.”

The tightly-packed nylon confers other advantages: they dampen sound as well as capture fine dust and allergens from the air—which are easily confined to the dustbin of history in one fell swoop of a vacuum or steam-cleaner.
