Eye Candy: Filigrana by Established & Sons
The Filigrana Light from Established & Sons blends a 16th-century Murano glass blowing technique with a contemporary aesthetic.

This process of colored stripes being rolled onto the surface of the glass before it is blown has been passed down for generations.

Designer Sebastian Wrong says he wanted to use this process because “it has this very beautiful kind of hypnotic, slightly magical, child-like aesthetic to it.”

The swirling, candy-cane patterning calls to mind the delightfully sweet Creme Savers candy from way back when, especially the orange.

This new light from the British brand is a combination of traditional craftsmanship, technical mastery, and modern design.

Since each Filigrana Light is glass blown, each one is unique.

The surface of each Filigrana Light is acid etched to create a soft, diffused light.

The Filigrana Light series comes in four different shapes and in three different colors.
