The Buraco Quente bar in Santa Catarina, Brazil has been serving up healthy doses of purple and pink since January 2022.

Architect Sabrina Fortes came up with the design for the smallish space (25 square meters) that inhabits the ground floor in a two-story structure located in the historic center of this lovely coastal city. The purplish vibe unifies the environs—extending into the outdoors with a wire-framed mini-balcony that increases usable space without disrupting sidewalk traffic.

The space is remarkably faithful to the chosen color scheme, with color-coordinated tiles on the exterior, bar, and knee-walls, as well as LED lights and an epoxy-coated sidewalk, walls, floor, and facade.

There’s also an art wall—bathed in neon purple that showcases the work of local artists in their best light.
