Lớp Lamps in Red and Pink
Imagine that you take this small lamp with you when you move or rearrange a room. Its versatility is such that it can be placed on a desk, imparting a sense of order and calm. Set on a bookshelf, it calls attention to itself but also beckons the reader to peruse the various books that surround it. Placed on a nightstand, its soft light relaxes you until lights out. In red or pink acrylic, Lớp Lamp captures the playful spirit of love.

If you choose the lamp in red, it’s like having a portable Valentine that doesn’t fade the way the holiday does. This lamp is “a sphere floating amidst layers. When lit, reflections of the sphere materialize on the acrylic layers, evoking afterimages of a sphere in motion. Even though the sphere is stationary, its multiple reflections instill a sense of movement.” In Vietnamese Lớp means layers.

The lamp comes in eight colors and four sizes. The small square, shown above, weighs 3.3 pounds. Made of acrylic, stainless steel and matte opal glass, Lớp Lamp diffuses light, reduces glare, and adds a touch of atmosphere that’s equal parts kitschy and fun.
