Kings and Queens and Everyone in Between

Charles, by Royal Stranger for Forom, is a clever study in contrasts.

Shiny and matte, circular and straight, soft and hard—all elements are at play in this 70s inspired armchair that’s also an homage to British royalty.

But perhaps “homage” isn’t the best word. Maybe “parody” is better? “Send-up”? “Burlesque”?

However you choose to describe it, it’s clear that Royal Stranger is having a bit of fun with this chair that “balances opposing and contrasting textures perfectly for a bold and robust structure that captures attention in a wider room… a peculiar and fresh accent to any interior.”

Nor does Charles’ roomy dimensions confine it to particularly large spaces. So long as there’s room to get in and out, Charles is congenial to the ambiance of just about anywhere. But be warned: it may make you feel like a royal trapped in an Austin Powers set. Or perhaps as if you’re stuck in a period take of Little Shop of Horrors.

Charles is available in every color of Royal Stranger’s fabric collection, as well as COM. The arms come in all NCS/RAL colors, or for a particularly decadent feel, in gold or silver leaf. Arms may be glossy or matte, but you’d have to be crazy not to go with the finish that glimmers and gleams.
