At KBIS 2025: The Interplay of Light & Shadow
Italian company Refin Ceramiche showcased their Reliefs Collection at KBIS 2025 in Las Vegas from February 25-27, 2025.

The Reliefs Collection is six new and original three-dimensional porcelain stoneware wall coverings. From refined herringbone to extremely delicate fluting, Reliefs turn boring white walls into something much more extraordinary.

Every detail in Reliefs plays with light and shadow. We love how this not only builds depth, but also opens up any room to elements of contrast.

Reliefs features six designs: Dorico, Ribbed, Stripe, Canné, Tweed, and Hammered.
Dorico
Dorico is inspired by classical architecture. The fluted pattern is softened by curved recesses. Dorico interacts with light to create a harmonious and refined effect. The Prestigio variation even includes a luxurious marbled effect.

Ribbed
In Ribbed, the ridges themselves are carved at irregular intervals. On a grand scale, this creates captivating visual effects and features shadows and intriguing tonal variations.

Stripe
Stripe gives off “I just raked my Zen Garden” vibes. It’s calming to see ridges uniform in size and parallel to one another, just like a rake passed through fine white sand. Stripe speaks to a reassuring sense of order.

Canné
Canné is Dorico’s opposite. Where Dorico is curved recesses, Canné flutes the other way, outward.

Tweed
With Tweed, Refin Ceramiche draws inspiration from the world of textiles. This chevron pattern offers movement. Diagonal and zig-zag patterns create shadows that almost appear to have a rhythm.

Hammered
Finally, Hammered is a delicate, textured look. To me, this resembles the pleasing effect of a brand new sidewalk. Hammered offers a lighter appearance, both in terms of form and what it might allow. It’s spacious. It’s grounding. Perhaps an ideal choice to pair with more risky design choices?

The Reliefs Collection can be used as full paneling, wainscoting, backsplashes, furniture cladding, modular walls, and for columns or pillars.
