Kinoko Is Japanese for Mushroom
Kinoko Lamp by Sean Kim for MoMA Design Store is a great gift for any age.
Japanese for mushroom, Kinoko features delicate accordion folds reminiscent of Japanese origami. The lamp’s hues are darker at the top of the shade and bottom of the base, its diffuse light mimicking a mushroom whose colors vary from cap to stem.
The Kinoko Lamp comes in two different color combinations: Seafoam/Pink or Peach/Periwinkle, the soft colors like a loamy carpet on a rich forest floor in summertime.
It’s perfect for a small relaxation area or as a bedside nightlight. Manufactured using 3D printing, the lamp is made of PLA plastic (a compostable material derived from corn starch or sugar cane). It measures 7.5″ high by 6.5″ diameter.
