Get Cozy with the Wool Library Collection by Designtex
In thinking about the upcoming holiday season, it occurred to us that all the Black Sheep out there might be getting nervous. It’s hard to feel like the odd one out, so we are celebrating all the Black Sheep this week by focusing on distinctive products—and wool!
The new Wool Library collection by Designtex features four weaves in 190 colors. Basket, Checker, Heather, and Micro Tweed celebrate the classic beauty and convenience of wool.
The original performance textile, wool is biobased, renewable, biodegradable, durable, thermoregulating, and naturally flame-retardant. And it comes from sheep, including literal and figurative Black Sheep.
The Wool Library is Old School with an eco-twist: three of the four wool weaves (Basket, Checker, and Micro Tweed) contain a high content (70%) of post-consumer recycled material from the fashion industry.
A solid weave with visible structure, Basket comes in 31 colors. The Black Sheep in the family might enjoy dark and luscious reds, including Blackberry and Beet.
Checker is a chunky, two-toned wool. Certain colors highlight the unique weave, such as Dragonfly, which mixes blue and red to create a rich purple.
Heather is everyone’s favorite gray, “soft, supple and reminiscent of classic suiting fabric.” For stormy days (or dark moods), choose Stone and Dapple.
With a tight weave of varying tones, Micro Tweed comes in a wide array of blacks, including Charcoal, Onyx, and Asphalt—perfect for Black Sheep anytime of year.
