London Design Festival 2024: Fortnum & Mason x Jaime Hayon
Spanish designer extraordinaire Jaime Hayon presents Fortnum & Mason x Jaime Hayon at London Design Festival 2024. Located at the Fortnum & Mason department store, the exhibit features window displays presenting a history of Hayon’s work at Hayon Studio on its soon-to-come 25th anniversary.
A London icon, Fortnum & Mason has been around since 1707. In its collaboration with Hayon, the store gifted its atrium and windows to the designer. Hayon, who is as much an artist as a designer, invigorated those display areas with his playful work, including his furniture, lighting, and sculptural objects. “I want people to be captivated by the dynamic energy and vivid colours in my works,” Hayon explains.
In the atrium, Hayon presents “Malabarista.” Fortnum & Mason describes it as “an intricate laser-cut panel installation depicting a figure juggling celestial elements, symbolising Hayon’s forward-thinking creative philosophy.”
