Shoes made from things that grow?

creative symbols for sustainable elements

In an outreach campaign that’s one part product tech and two parts brand development, Reebok announces their sustainable initiative.

As the engineers behind the scenes work to turn Bloom Algae, Castor Bean Oil, Eucalyptus Bark, Natural Rubber, and Recycled Polyester into 100% natural-based shoes, the marketers up front are busy concocting cool schematics and colorful, compelling visuals.

Once the shoes are actually ready to hit the pavement, consumers will know the exact recipe for their particular footwear of choice.

“Every shoe that features one of these new sustainable materials will be identified, down the road, with its corresponding image.”

It’s a clever marketing campaign and a visually intelligible way to promote a message about wise resource use. And of course it makes for excellent eye candy.
