Bamboozle Take Two
Last year we covered Bamboozle, the nifty little composting bin with an even niftier little price (around $40 to $70).
It’s still available in the original bamboo fiber, but the latest innovation is a new option called “Astrik.”
Made from polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived from corn starch or sugarcane, Astrik proposes a whole new use for those sources that transcends sugary cereals and soft drinks. Producing Astrik is less energy-intensive than plastic and it’s completely compostable.
Bamboozle has lined up Astrik’s launch for August 29. In addition to composting bins, the material will be used for tray sets, baking buns, mixing bowls, measuring cups, and measuring spoons.
