NeoCon 2024: TOPOS by Zaha Hadid Architects for iSiMAR
Outdoor living inspired by topography. That is the ethos behind the new TOPOS Collection of outdoor furniture designed by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) for iSiMAR.
iSiMAR explains the idea behind the new ZHA collection: “Named after the Greek word for place, the TOPOS collection encapsulates time with family and friends lounging by the sea, beside a swimming pool, or under a canopy of pine trees.”
Taking the contour lines from topographical maps as a starting point, TOPOS depicts gradient lines in galvanized wire, creating sculptural furniture through an economical use of material.
But don’t let the aesthetic fool you—TOPOS is designed for comfort: “With its contours adapting to each unique user, the TOPOS collection is defined by ergonomics, materiality and structure in the finest balance between personal comfort, material resilience and geometric expression.”
See TOPOS at NeoCon 2024 in the iSiMAR booth on the 7th floor at 7-8062. If you’re not in Chicago, get up-to-date Show Coverage at 3rings.
