NYCxDesign 2024: Sorbet Is So True
American refrigeration company True manufactures high-end residential and commercial refrigeration units in an array of finishes. And it’s true that True’s latest custom color, Sorbet, is a product finalist for the 2024 NYCxDesign Awards. Sorbet, a popular dessert, comes in any color depending upon the fruit used to make it, but it’s probably best known in eye-catching pink. Sorbet—the sweet concoction and the appliance color—appeals to the palate.
True Residential concocted Sorbet as a custom color, joining the legion of designers, artists, and filmmakers who have made pink the color of the year. Sorbet brings the cool, refreshing color into the latest kitchen designs to add a light and fun touch to the kitchen. Sorbet is a delicious color that looks good enough to eat!
In addition to creating custom colors, True offers an exciting range of finishes, including Saffron, Emerald, and Champagne. Hardware is just as varied. Choose from Copper, Pewter, Gold, Brass, Chrome, or Stainless Steel. Doors can be solid or made of glass.
True offers a range of column sizes, which can be combined or placed apart. They also make under-the-counter refrigeration units, as well as models exclusively for wine or beverage storage and even a columnar ice machine. For whatever size or color—including Sorbet—True uses state-of-the-art powder coating booths to achieve a perfect finish.
