An Even Ten: New Modern Colors Expand Ultrafabrics’ Ultraleather Collection
In honor of their 25th anniversary, Ultrafabrics announces a color refresh for Ultraleather, one of their most popular fabric collections. This contemporary update adds ten new shades, so now there are over 70 Ultraleather colors to choose from.
Nicole Meier, Director of Branding at Ultrafabrics, says, “The new Ultraleather hues are inspired by the appreciation of color nuances, otherwise known as color sensibility. We reflected on the enduring impact artists have had on color application across design, and we thoughtfully introduce this selection of timeless, yet modern, shades into the Ultraleather palette.”
“In a way, Ultraleather is the ultimate representation of what Ultrafabrics does: we create beautiful, durable fabrics that last.”
Ultraleather is recognized for its supple touch and natural grain. The “sumptuously soft” texture is incredibly durable, earth-friendly, and bleach cleanable (make sure to use a 1:5 bleach/water solution).
The new Ultraleather shades range from antioxidant-inspired foods like olives and chocolates to natural hues of earthenware. Every color in the new Ultraleather Collection seems to be easily adaptable for contract furniture, modern RVs, healthcare, marine, or aviation settings.
The serene, warm colors of this launch are Citronella, Canyon Clay, Cacao Nib, and Classic Gray. High Seas, Olive Leaf, and Emerald Isle are naturally revitalizing, balanced, and lush. Mothwing, Earthenware, and Flagstone round out the palette as subtle, organic options.
Since Ultraleather launched in 1999, the company has continued to make great strides in terms of sustainability. Ultraleather now contains over 50% rapidly renewable resources. Ultraleather’s reinforced rayon backcloth incorporates TENCEL™ Modal, a man-made cellulosic fiber produced from renewable beech wood.
Ultraleather is also free of PVC, plasticizer phthalates, and formaldehyde. No PFAS are intentionally added. It is SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified and is also REACH compliant.
Ultrafabrics knocked it out of the park recently with their Sanctuary Palette, seven poetic colors artificially dreamed up by AI. That launch was inspired by the “Peach Fuzz” Pantone Color of the Year for 2024.
