Àdùnní Collection by Ilé Ilà
The Àdùnní Collection by Ilé Ilà (House of Lines) is a trio of lounge chairs that combines Nigerian teak wood with indigenous Yoruba textiles. Geometric and modern, Àdùnní chairs are upholstered in two styles of Asò-oké fabric.
Àdùnní, which means “daughter of the sweet one” in Yoruba, combines Asò-oké Gboro-gidi (solid) and Asò-oké Onja-wú ati iho (perforated) fabrics, both hand-loomed in Nigeria. Each of the three styles in the collection comes in an array of vibrant colors, including energetic yellows and cool blues.
In Monochrome, the Irédé lounge chair is quite striking—its black and white vertical stripes complement the angles of its teak arms.
Founded in 2017 by architect Tosin Oshinowo, Ilé Ilà (House of Lines) is a lifestyle furniture brand hand-made in Lagos, Nigeria. They create “period-conscious furniture with a contemporary African content.”
