Patchwork Ceramics Make a Statement Kitchen

Interiors firm Nestor & Rotsen created a stunning kitchen in a top-floor space in Gent, Belgium.

The show-stopper here is refractory ceramics. Made to withstand temps in excess of 1000 degrees Farenheit, they make for an ideal cooktop, enabling direct integration of the burners.

The colorful patchwork tiles are offset by Acacia wood and weathered copper, for an eclectic look that evokes the palette of Cubist masters like Braque, Gris, and Léger.
