The Kelp Collection of 3D printed furniture by Scandinavian studio Interesting Times Gang (ITG) is made of recycled fishing nets.

The ingenious Kelp Chair marries biophilic design and material development. According to ITG, “Kelp Collection is inspired by biomimicry with undulating lines and organically swaying silhouettes to emulate the forms found in ocean vegetation.”

Kelp Collection was originally commissioned for Black Milk Gastro Bar in Stockholm.

ITG hopes to call attention to the ocean’s disappearing kelp forests.

The studio’s other work pushes technology forward while getting creative with sustainable design, a win-win solution.
