Sari Chair by Paolo Castelli
Just like the elegant garment that is its namesake, the Sari Chair, designed by Vittorio Paradiso for Paolo Castelli, drapes like silk, creating a curvaceous structure that defies expectations.
Appearances aside, Sari is not made from fabric but rather from polyurethane upholstery wrapped around an internal metal structure. The unique adaptability of the foam “envelops the seat, back and legs and determines the distinctive look.”
The foam’s draping quality is matched nicely by the ash-turned wood—a contrapuntal curva-linearity that adds to the sculptural effect.
Sari is available in both armchair and lounge styles.
