All the power and grace of the great mammal of the sea is captured in the sculptural Whale Tail bench from Spanish design company QZ.

The Murcia-based company is known for its urban furniture, so it may seem somewhat ironic that they’re bringing this icon of the natural world to a street-scape near you. But in fact what could be more appropriate than an ocean motif on a beach-side promenade?

As QZ says, “Inspired by marine life, Whale Tail is a bench of elegant simplicity… a piece of urban furniture that will awaken emotions in both urban and natural environments.”

Whale Tail is available in fiberglass, fiberglass/polymer concrete blend, and concrete. Colors include gloss white, fluorescent green, light blue, and grey.
