Daniel Michalik’s practiced hand demonstrates all that can emerge from a humble block of cork.

The Sway Stool (above) features the excision of synchronous small sections to confer subtle rocks, dips, and of course sways—all the subtle motions that make a seat ergonomic.

The 3/1 bench and 3/1 chair (above and below) use recycled cork and paint for a flat-pack, easy-to-assemble concept manifesting in indoor/outdoor seating.

And the Striated chair mimics a brick-work pattern to create both structure and aesthetic allure in a form reminiscent of traditional Portuguese cork chairs.
