At Maison & Objet: mrlt.
16m² exemplifies their core credo of minimalism + an environmental ethos at Paris Design Week with the mrlt. lamp.
A modern re-interpretation of H.G. McFaddin’s timeless Banker’s lamp, mrlt. morphs the industrial-age elements into materials that speak directly to our current socio-cultural climate: the familiar glass and brass swap places for a sustainable corn starch-based bioplastic: “four independent 3D-printed parts combined together : lampshade, reflector, foot, and electrical base are stamped without glue nor screw so that the mrlt. is fully repairable.”
The look of it pays homage while carving out an entirely new aesthetic space. It’s cool and quirky and endlessly customizable with translucent or opaque shades in five colors, bases in five colors, and reflector available in red or white.
16m² will be at Paris Design Week/Maison & Objet through September 16. See here to find out more.
