Spec Furniture Expands Hardi Line
Spec Furniture and Cortech have collaborated to bring more product offerings into the Hardi line of furniture for mental health facilities.
The award-winning Hardi series is comprised of rotationally molded polyethylene seating. Known for their durable one-piece construction and easy cleanability, Hardi seating meets the needs of mental healthcare facilities, in which safety is often paramount.
The Cortech additions—called “Hardi Endurance”—expand the line with tables, desks, and storage: “By incorporating Cortech’s solutions into our Hardi product line, Spec is rounding out this robust collection and is now able to fully furnish every patient area, from supervised to unsupervised.”
Desks and tables are freestanding or wall-mount with hidden hardware. The tables are offered in cylinder and x-style bases.
Options for storage include bedside tables, open chests, and wall-mount shelving. There’s also a tamper-resistant bed that mounts to the floor with hidden hardware.
The new Stacker chair, made by Cortech as well, reduces rocking and tip-over. A bolt-to-floor option offers added security.
Since the rotationally molded polyethylene furnishings are virtually indestructible, the entire Hardi line meets the challenges often associated with healthcare environments. The furnishings also eliminate the concerns of having sharp edges or other potentially dangerous surfaces. And all Hardi seating is difficult and awkward to pick-up, but easy to manipulate once seated. These qualities make Hardi the go-to for the healthcare and behavioral health markets—the new Hardi Endurance line represents Spec Furniture’s enhanced contribution to achieving positive outcomes.
