Creative Cladding from Windfall Lumber
The aptly named Windfall Lumber began in 1997 when unusually fierce winds downed a surplus of old growth Douglas Pine in the Pacific Northwest. To Windfall’s founders, it was a no-brainer to make good use of this valuable resource.
Among the lineup of D3 panels, tables, treads, metalwork, and cladding, the latter stands out for innovation and ease of installation.
Take the Portland Line (pictured below). This 100% reclaimed product is sourced from deconstructed industrial, agricultural, and residential buildings, conveying the look of weathered natural wood that pays homage to its source.
Named for Windfall’s hometown, Olympia is made from regional Red Alder. Low-VOC finishes in ten translucent colors give the wood a slick finished appearance while allowing the original character to shine through.
The latest addition to Windfall’s cladding line is Color Cladding, featuring reclaimed Doug Fir tinted with 12 vibrant zero-VOC paints. Beveled edges with tongue and groove sides make for easy installation.
Windfall Lumber’s cladding is available in a variety of widths, lengths, and thicknesses. Contact them here. And see Designer Pages Media for more wood cladding.
