A Toilet for 2020: Duravit SensoWash i by Philippe Starck
Duravit and Philippe Starck are once again revolutionizing the look, feel, and function of the bathroom. This time, it’s the oft-overlooked toilet that enters the new millennium with the Duravit SensoWash i, a “Shower-Toilet,” that’s a multi-functional, ultra-hygienic, eco-conscious WC
Beyond the pedestrian waste disposal function (which SensoWash does with a water-saving protocol and specialized rotating flushing stream for extra cleanliness), the unit incorporates an intuitive spray wand for shower function, rearwash, and ladywash, all with adjustable temp., positioning, and spray velocity. There’s also the nice finishing touch of a warm-air dryer.
SensoWash i also offers a heated seat function, in addition to electronic actuated closing (in the Plus version controlled by the smartphone app), as well as a soft-closing lid and automatic odor extraction.
Another option is Duravit’s patented antibacterial HygieneGlaze 2.0, a coating that’s baked into the ceramic surface to provide 99.9% germ-killing protection. Other features include automatic spray nozzle cleaning (after every use) and app-controlled pre-flush and de-scaling.
And don’t forget that this is Starck: SensoWash i looks good with no external hint that it’s a veritable super-computer of a shower-toilet. To find out more, see Duravit. And go to Designer Pages Media for more by Philippe Starck.
