Billiani White Chair
The Billiani White Chair is not named White for its color—though there is a fetching version in cream, the epitome of Scandinavian style—but rather for its clean and welcoming aesthetic.
Created by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen, White is sculpted in striking ash wood. Its clean and uncluttered lines border on the severe but are tempered nicely by the wider proportions of its legs, seat, and back, as well as its upholstered options.
Manufacturer Billiani says, “If White were a model it would be Anita Ekberg, being just as seductive and slinky as the Swedish actress of the swinging sixties.” Ekberg has a certain timelessness, to be sure, but what’s great about quality Scandinavian design is that it transcends years, decades.
Just so, the White Chair by Billiani offers a look and feel that is not confined to terms like “Modern” or “Contemporary.”
This versatile piece is lovely to look at and just as nice to inhabit. Contact Billiani for further information, and see Designer Pages Media for more great Scandinavian-inspired seating.
