Revolutionary Recycled Countertops
Homegrown IceStone makes beautiful, high-quality recycled countertops and architectural surfaces using re-purposed materials and almost zero waste.
From their 55,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, they create their signature product, IceStone, which is comprised of a mere three inputs: recycled glass, Portland cement, and non-toxic pigments.
The vision is beautiful in its simplicity, and so is the product. IceStone recycled countertops are lovely to look at. The surfaces contain the charismatic qualities of classic terrazzo—with tiny variations in color, size, and shape giving it an intriguing, puzzle-piece aspect.
Many colors schemes are available. Form the iciness of Alpine White to the bold, dreamy quality of Sapphire Snow.
IceStone is dedicated to sustainable manufacturing processes. They employ overhead day lighting to reduce electricity costs, water recycling during production, and comprehensive recycling of extra cement or glass. Their laudable goal is to become a zero-waste facility, and they’re pretty darn close, currently recycling over 90% of waste.
