At NeoCon 2018: JabbrrX is a Respite for Travelers
Among the many isolation booths that showed at NeoCon, perhaps none drew more attention than JabbrrX, a flagship model of sorts from manufacturer Jabbrrbox.
Gold winner in the category of Workplace Technologies, JabbrrX expands on the original Jabbrrbox-essentially a private workspace made for open plan work environments-by adapting it to the public realm.
The exterior, featuring powder-coated metal in choice of colors and laminated clear glass-is essentially the same, but inside users will find an enhanced suite of functional features.
With a video conferencing camera, Bluetooth for hands-free calls, a private encrypted WiFi network, and reliable infrastructure to charge devices, JabbrrX provides a welcome respite for travelers and mobile workers-the booths are particularly amenable to those waiting at airports. Users may reserve space at any JabbrrX-they've already been installed at LaGuardia-for 30-minute increments via smartphone or directly at the site.
As with all Jabbrrbox models, JabbrrX offers a comfy interior: wool upholstery with a cushioned banquette, 18″ deep worksurface, and blower fans to provide a constant supply of fresh air. The booths are, of course, silent-passersby cannot hear anything being said inside.
If you weren't able to check out JabbrrX at NeoCon, don't despair. The MART now has a permanent pair of Xs on the second floor-part of the company's plan to expand their presence in prominent public venues: "We'll be coming to a wide variety of open and semi-public spaces including building lobbies, hospitality, conference venues, retail, transit hubs, and additional airports... It's going to be a busy summer."
