Emeco Introduces Its 1 Inch Collection by Jasper Morrison
For its newest collection of chairs, tables, and stools, American furniture company Emeco enlisted the help of acclaimed English product and furniture designer Jasper Morrison to create its 1 Inch collection. Launched during Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Italy earlier this month, the collection taps into Emeco’s heritage of using sustainable materials during the production of its products.
The 1 Inch collection is no different. Comprised of recycled aluminum, each furnishing is distinctively lightweight yet strong, featuring a one-inch square extruded aluminum tube that allows each piece to be made with the least amount of materials while remaining durable. This focus on longevity makes it suitable for a number of settings, including educational institutions and other highly trafficked locations. Surface materials used for seats and table tops are also sustainable and include materials such as 100-percent reclaimed polypropylene and plywood sourced from sustainable forests in North America.
