Introduced at NeoCon 2015 and launching this October, Sylvi by izzy+ is a new modular lounge collection meant to "create a space within a space." Sylvi is built with contract quality but maintains residential appeal. Designer Joey Ruiter conceptualized Sylvi as a spot "for people who want a quick touch-down spot as well as a sense of solitude."

Modular Furniture Offers Clean Lines and High Fabric Efficiency

Sylvi features the clean lines of modernist furniture. An added benefit is that the pieces offer high fabric efficiency. Plus, no visible seams break up Sylvi's "simple form language." Its metal frame hides USB and power plug-ins, and an under-cushion channel helps connect end tables, magazine rack, and coat hook accessories.

Sylvi doubles as a room divider or space planner with the addition of laminated backer panels. These panels provide some privacy-but not too much: "you have line of sight to the people and the activity surrounding you," explains izzy+.
