NeoCon 2015: Near & Far and Equal Measure Collections by Interface
Two new collections by Interface, the modular flooring company that makes carpet tiles in fresh designs, get their inspiration from varied sources. Near & Far is organic and recycled, with references to diverse global motifs. Equal Measure offers three geometric patterns of varying dimension. Both new collections include patterns that can be mixed and matched to great effect.
Carpet Tiles with Organic and Geometric Inspiration
The Near & Far Collection is made of 100% recycled content nylon: "The organic reference is clear, but we can see the artisan’s hand in the shape and materials," explains Interface. NF400 and NF 401 can be combined to form herringbone, linear, brick, and square patterns. NF400 is smoother than NF401, which has greater depth and dimension. Eight neutrals range from classic Linen and Wheat to saturated Shale and Walnut.
Inspired by intersections, the cobblestone-like Equal Measure features an irregular geometric pattern. The collection includes EM 551, EM 552, and EM 553. EM551 is a simple, textural pattern, available in eight modern neutrals, that "quietly underscores your design." EM 552 and EM553 highlight the random rectangles of old streets. They connect on any of the four sides, end to end or side by side, facilitating interesting and dynamic configurations.
