Tokyo Tribal by Nendo for Industry+
Launched at Maison & Objet Asia this week, Japanese studio Nendo has designed the ‘Tokyo Tribal’ collection for Singaporean design brand, Industry+.
Tokyo Tribal is a collection of compact furniture designed by Nendo for Industry+
Featuring 22 simple and compact items including stools, chairs, tables, and shelves, the collection is designed with small, urban living spaces in mind.
The frames are made from solid oak and the top board finishes are volcanic sand plaster. Bamboo rattan that is hand-woven by local artisans in the Philippines is used to create back-supports, which take advantage of the bamboo’s excellent elastic properties, as well as basket-shaped storage compartments that sit within the legs of a stool or intersect table legs.
