Alexander Wang has teamed up with Poltrona Frau to create a limited edition of lounge furniture, "combining Poltrona Frau's expertise in fine, luxurious hand-crafted design and Alexander Wang's sensibility of elevated ease." The collection includes two Bean-Bag-style seats and a Trunk Bar, both of which create a relaxed sense of style. All the pieces will be available this February and will be shown at the Alexander Wang New York flagship and the Poltrona Frau New York showrooms.

 Supple Leather and Geometric Base Elevate Bean-Bag Seat

Wang's furniture juxtaposes refined quality with casual comfort. While the Bean-Bag chairs have the standard slouchy body, they are finished in sumptuous matte black leather and shearling in Poltrona Frau's Pelle Frau® Soul leather, a fine quality leather grain that "eschews surface finishing resulting in a velvety texture and fullness of color." Details of Wang's chair, such as the geometric polished bronze-plated steel base, give it an unexpected sense of refinement.

The Trunk Bar is another easy piece: steel wheels give it maneuverability while a chic matte black shagreen exterior make it sharp. The Trunk Bar's interior offers black suede with polished steel edging and accommodates glasses, bottles, and cocktail accessories in understated style. About the furniture collection, Wang explains, "I always loved this idea of hanging out in a basement on beanbags. But taking that youthfulness and re-contextualizing it into something very luxurious and aspirational."
