A new version of the Nap Chair featuring wooden legs will be available to the public on February 1st, 2015. Designed by Kasper Salto for Danish furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen, Nap stands for Normal, Active and Passive, which are all the states our bodies go through when we sit (because sitting, as it turns out, involves a surprising amount of movement).

The nylon shell cradles the body, while the new bentwood base adds a beautiful organic element. Made of natural oak veneer, Nap's new legs anchor the chair to the ground like tree roots. The Nap shell still adapts to the user's body shape, allowing "the user to sit comfortably for hours in a variety of positions." Lightweight and available with or without arms, the new Nap comes in four colors: pepper gray, milk white, butter yellow and coffee brown. The chair can also be upholstered in Divina fabric from Kvadrat.
