Hill and Dale: New Brentano Fabric for Spring
Distinguishing itself amid the Discovery Collection's flurry of fantastic textiles for spring, Brentano Fabric's Hill and Dale features a playful chevron pattern of two distinct, yet complementary, yarns.
The Enduring Attraction of the Timeless Chevron
The distinctive V-shaped line is a familiar military motif, as it has historically been used as an identifying badge on the uniforms of military and police. In design, however, the chevron references an architectural "fret," or repetitive decorative feature.
The shape has the advantage of being playful while still imparting a certain gravitas. Hill and Dale thus fits right in with Brentano's Discovery Collection, whose hallmark is a certain "understated elegance."
Hill and Dale's aesthetic and textural innovation arises from the conjunction of two different yarns-a textural boucle of polyester, linen, and viscose and a viscose chenille, which together "define the pattern's canted lines and give the upholstery a natural softness."
Hill and Dale is 54" wide. Appropriate for both residential and contract applications, the fabric is available in eight unique colorways. For specifying information, contact Brentano.
