New Old Light Table Lamp by Kimu
Following on from their successful 2012 design, the New Old Light shade, Taiwanese design studio, Kimu, have introduced a table lamp version.
Kimu’s New Old Light is a hybrid design that combines eastern and western design sensibilities.
Suspended by its turned wood lamp holder in the center of a thin, black metal frame, the shade of Kimu‘s ‘New Old Light’ table lamp combines a traditional Chinese paper lantern with a western-style industrial enamel shade.
To adjust the direction and intensity of light, the extendable paper shade can be pulled down to create an ambient soft light, and pushed up for a more direct light.
